Main purpose of International Mentoring Conference (IMC) is to present professional mentoring programmes from different countries.
The first International Mentoring conference was in Slovenia and now every year, another country hosts the conference. With the conference we connect organisers of mentoring programmes and providers of such educational events and activities.

"Effective Mentors Change the World"
We cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd International Mentoring Conference of Life Learning Academia and Dundee Centre of Business Excellence (DCBE) in Dundee, Scotland, March 1-2, 2024.
Hosted at Al Maktoum College of Higher Education,
Dundee, Scotland.
The conference
The conference's main purpose is to disseminate research results, exchange experiences and identify key issues, challenges and obstacles, with special focus on Good mentoring programs and models, while also covering the fields of training, coaching and good practices. The organizer provides an interdisciplinary platform for all participants to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in specific fields.
The conference is an opportunity to promote and strengthen further cooperation and networking, and to allow for the exchange of ideas of researchers from different countries, from different research fields and from different levels of scientific and research careers. Given that Life Learning Academia and Dundee Centre of Business Excellence (DCBE), is one of the leading regional centres in the EU, where modern processes are being developed, the conference program will also place an emphasis on how to introduce and provide added value with the introduction of virtual mentoring education.
The theme of the conference »Effective Mentors Change the World« reflects the mission of the Life Learning Academia programs and Learning Driven Organization programs - and also in the following thematic areas (but not limited to):
- Need for effective mentors & and entrepreneurship
- Mentors at the workplace.
- Success Stories in Mentoring
- Mentoring Contracts
- Critical Success Factors for effective mentoring.
- Mentoring in the AI era.
- Digital/bot mentors.
Academics, lecturers, practitioners, professionals, entrepreneurs, and students are invited to submit your contributions, papers and panel proposals related to the conference theme, »How to create good mentors«

All abstracts and papers need to be submitted in English.
Authors are invited to submit abstracts of no more than 500-600 words on one or more of the thematic areas indicated in the conference's Purpose. The suggested headings to structure the abstract are the following:
- Purpose(and research question if there is one): what are the reason(s) for writing the paper or the aims of the research? Summarize the purpose and the rationale of your research/paper.
- Introduction and literature review: place your work in the context with the existing body of knowledge.
- Design/Methodology/Approach: how are the objectives achieved? Define the main method used for collecting the data including the sample size, and state the rationale for using this method.
- Findings/Results and conclusions: what was found in the course of the work (refer to the analysis, discussion or results). Summarize the answers to the research questions while also outlining the implications of the results.
- Research limitations/implications (if applicable):summarize the limitations of the study and offer suggestions for future research.
- Practical and/or social implications (if applicable):offer the potential implications both for practice and society. What outcomes and implications for the practice, applications and consequences are identified? What will be the impact of your research on society, how will it influence the public attitudes, corporate behaviour etc.? Not all papers will have practical or social implications, but most will.
- Originality/value: what is new in the paper and who is it for? State the value of the paper.
- Keywords:3 to 5 keywords that highlight your research/paper.
A list of literature (references) should not be included into the word count.
Extended abstracts should be submitted on a form (template) via e-mail to tajnistvo@llacademia.com no later than January 23h 2023.
Decisions to accept an abstract with an invitation to prepare the full paper will be announced by February 10th 2024.
Full papers of no more than 40,000 characters, including spaces, will be due by February 20 2024. Guidelines and the template for full papers are available here.
Publication of papers
- at the conference: a conference booklet (proceedings of reviewed abstracts of the received contributions/papers, including key-note speeches);
after the conference: a reviewed scientific monograph with the 15 best contributions/papers, according to the review committee's assessment.
